Barnstable Academy Seeking Certified Math and English Teachers for New Learning Program

Barnstable Academy Seeking Certified Math and English Teachers for Exciting New Learning Program

By Meaghan Barracoso

This year Barnstable Academy launched EDGE, a learning program that allows students to further personalize and take charge of their learning by creating a classroom with just one student and one teacher. This allows the teaching and learning to be customized to each student’s unique interests and learning styles. For many students this also provides them the opportunity to catch up in their classes, improve their GPA, or get ahead.

Barnstable Academy’s small, college-prep private school is looking for a part-time middle and high school Math Teacher as well as a part-time English Teacher for this exciting new 1:1 program. Candidates must be certified and able to teach using 21st century techniques and student-centered strategies. This teacher must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be comfortable integrating technology into the classroom. The right candidate will be creative, energetic and enjoy collegial collaboration. Additional certification in Students with Disabilities and experience teaching is a plus. If interested, please send cover letter, resume, references and a copy of teacher certification to the attention of Meaghan Barracoso at mbarracoso@barnstableacademy.com.
