The GREATEST Day for Oakland Recreation returns this Saturday June 7th. The annual baseball/softball parade begins at 9:00am on field 3 and will end at field 7. There will then be he traditional ceremony announcing the teams, mayor’s first pitch and special awards. Ken Gysbers will be inducted into the Oakland Sports Hall of Fame with his plague joining past HOF members in the Danny D’Elia Building; and Vince Letezia will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. After the ceremony the fun begins with the carnival of blow-up rides, food, music and cotton candy. It should be another GREAT Day for Oakland Recreation. ALL Oakland residents welcome!
