Under the threat of thunderstorms, Saturday’s shopper’s bazaar at Crystal Lake Beach Club was moved to Sunday and celebrated under sunny skies. Shoppers and vendors had an excellent day to spread out on the beach, taste test some food samples, slurp down some smoothies, and even get a little massage.
The rescheduled event did not seem to impact the buyers or sellers who came out a day later to say so long to summer. There were vendors selling a wide variety of goods, that you could wear, carry, read, play with, or eat. There was a table that gave the kids an opportunity for browsing which was offering educational books and toys, a table of handbags, and a yoga instructor selling wares and providing advice and instruction.
Regulars of the Crystal Lake Beach Club enjoyed all the extra amenities at the beach that day, and local residents were able to get ahead start on back to school, and maybe even pick up some stocking stuffers.
It was an especially great venue for couples who might not normally go shopping together. As the better half browsed the tables , the other half was able to wander to the water’s edge and enjoy the beauty of the calming waters under an Oakland sky.
