Franklin Lakes Lacrosse Team

On Saturday, April 24th the eighth grade Franklin Lakes lacrosse team took a trip to the Notre Dame – St. Johns game in Queens, New York.

Arriving in the parking lot four hours before the game, the boys held games, played wall ball, and even attended a clinic held by the St. Johns Sports Association. Meeting new friends for the team was easy due to all of the different kids in attendance.

When it was time for the game, the boys got their equipment and headed down to the field for their halftime game against Bayside. Although a short game, the Franklin Lakes War Eagles won 1-0. After the pleasing victory, the boys sat back and watched Notre Dame cruise for a 13- 6 shellacking.

After the game, the team made is way back to the parking lot to tail gate some more and meet and greet with the Notre Dame players. The players were extremely interested in the Franklin Lakes lacrosse careers and were genuinely nice people. When it was finally time for the players to catch their plane, nobody wanted to leave. All in all, it was a wonderful day, and a day that none of the kids will ever forget.
