June 3, 2016 – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on I-287 south, Det. McDermott charged a 20 year old West Milford resident with the possession of a controlled dangerous substance (oxycodone), the possession of five hypodermic syringes and with hindering his own apprehension for providing a false name. Additional charges were lodged against two other vehicle occupants, a 24 year old female resident of Pompton Lakes and a 31 year old male resident of Riverdale. Both of these individuals were charged with the possession of a controlled dangerous substance and with the possession of hypodermic syringes. All individuals were transported to Headquarters and later released. Sgt. Sanzari, Ptl. Broek and Ptl. Docwra assisted in the investigation.
June 7, 2016 – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Skyline Drive, Ptl. Griffin arrested a 30 year old Garfield resident on $5082 in outstanding traffic warrants located out of the Garfield, North Bergen, Paterson and Passaic Municipal Courts. The offender was transported to HQ where the warrants were satisfied prior to his release. Six motor vehicle summonses were issued to the driver including one for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
