policebuildingSEPTEMBER 29: Officer Bryan Rowin investigated a walk in complaint regarding an Oakland resident being the victim of identity theft. The resident stated that he discovered his identity was compromised when he learned that someone already filed a tax return in his name without his knowledge or consent earlier this year and had received the refund owed to him. Report filed.

OCTOBER 3: A resident from Calumet Avenue reported being a victim of debit card fraud after she discovered multiple unapproved transactions on her account in excess of $1100. Officer Daniel Kern handled the initial investigation. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

OCTOBER 5: Officer Luis Gaviria investigated two burglaries to parked vehicles on Rutgers Drive. The victims reported that cash and a bag of personal belongings had been removed from inside the unlocked vehicles. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

OCTOBER 5: A resident from Hopper Street reported being a victim of debit card fraud after he discovered an unapproved transaction on his account. Officer Joseph Noury handled the initial investigation. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.
