SEPTEMBER 7: A resident from Pequot Path reported being a victim of ongoing credit card fraud/identity theft after she discovered multiple cards having unapproved transactions on them and then again after being issued new ones. Officer Michael Catenacci handled the initial investigation. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.
SEPTEMBER 8: Det. Edward McDermott investigated a complaint of Fraud involving a company in the Oakland Industrial Park. It was reported that they received a fake email that was supposedly sent from the company CFO requesting over $15,000 be wired to an outside account. The email was confirmed fraudulent and the money was never wired. Matter under investigation by the Detective Bureau.
