FEBRUARY 23 AT 7:00 PM local Author Cindi Michael will be at the Oakland Library to discuss her memoir: The Sportscaster’s Daughter. Local residents will recall the voice of George Michael as a rock ‘n’ roll disc jockey on WABC in the 1970s and play-by-play announcer for the Islanders hockey team.
Candid, moving, and ultimately hopeful, The Sportscaster’s Daughter is a family story of forgiveness, faith and strength. Much of this book takes place in Oakland NJ.
