Oakland kids who lost mom need your help

Oakland Mom, Jeannie P died of cancer May 25th leaving three children and a very precarious financial situation. We would like to raise money to help them cover their basic expenses.

Fundraising details:

stillstandingMy friend Jeannie had cancer as long as I knew her.  Breast, bone, lung, liver… She never complained.  “How you feeling?” was always answered with “I’m Still Standing.”  Money was always tight,  but she did not complain.   About a year ago I told Jeannie she’d have to live until Ivy  ( her youngest) graduated from high school (4 years from now) she thought she’d be lucky to make it to her Bat Mitzvah.  Ivy’s Bat Mitzvah was April 26th. Temple Beth Rishon threw her a nice luncheon and I was the photographer.  Hard to believe that was just a month ago.  Her children are ages 18, 16 and 13 and they are in a precarious financial situation:  How can they afford to run a household with electric bills? auto insurance? food?  The eldest daughter,  is supposed to start college in September – I am unsure what will happen to the younger children if she goes.  Please consider giving what you can to help this family.  Every $1 will help.
