On June 8, 2011 Ptl. Noury conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ramapo Valley Road after nearly being struck head-on by the oncoming vehicle. Ptl. Noury’s investigation subsequently led to the arrest of the 36 year old Pompton Lakes resident for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with failure to keep right, reckless driving and DWI then released into the custody of a responsible adult. A June 2011 court date has been scheduled in the Oakland Municipal Court.
On June 10, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle stop conducted on I-287 southbound on a vehicle that was observed driving on a flat tire, Sgt. Sanzari arrested a 51 year old Woodcliff Lake resident and charged him with driving under the influence. Sgt. Sanzari conducted standardized field sobriety tests on scene and determined that the driver had been operating his vehicle under the influence of a suspected narcotic. He was arrested and transported to HQ where Certified Drug Recognition Expert, Ptl. Tim Keenan, conducted further testing. Charges included failure to maintain lane, reckless driving and DWI. A June 2011 court date has been scheduled in the Oakland Municipal Court.
