On July 21, 2012 a call from an alert citizen regarding two suspicious females digging in the backyard of a residence on Lenape Lane led to the arrest of two 19 year old Oakland residents for burglary and related charges. Officers responded to the residence and uncovered proceeds from a recent burglary buried in the backyard of the home. The 19 year old resident was taken into custody and charged with burglary, theft and numerous related offenses. He was later transported to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of posting $85,000 bail. His 19 year old accomplice, also from Oakland , was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary. He was transported to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of posting $50,000.00 bail. The burglary occurred on July 15, 2012 to a residence on Lenape Lane and was actively being investigated by members of the detective bureau. Detective Bart Pagerie, Ptl. Ryan O’Keefe, Ptl. Bryan Rowin and Ptl. Keith Docwra all participated in the arrests.
On July 27, 2012 a Fair Lawn , NJ resident reported that her vehicle was burglarized while parked on the State Park property on Skyline Drive . Several credit cards were reported stolen which resulted in fraudulent charges being made on her account. Ptl. Catenacci investigated.
On August 1, 2012 as a result of an inquiry at a construction site at a Rt. 202 residence, Ptl. O’Neill arrested a 36 year old Ridgefield Park , NJ man on an outstanding $29, 382.00 child support warrant. He was transported to HQ, processed and subsequently released into the custody of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department.
