Budgets for the K-8 school districts in Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff are available online, but only Oakland residents continue to put the school budget up for a vote. Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff have opted to move their school board elections to November, and their school budget does not need a vote provided it stays under a 2% cap increase.
As reported earlier in The Bergen Record, Bergen County has seen a drop in the number of children. The projected enrollment in the three FLOW towns reflect that with a pattern of dropping enrollment.
The voting this year for Oakland is on April 16, 2013 – from 2PM to 9PM.
