On May 28, 2013 Officers Rowin and Gusterson were dispatched to a residence on Lakeview Terrace on the report of a suspicious person who appeared to be attempting to enter the residence through a window. The officers investigation revealed that the suspect, who was temporarily residing with the resident, had locked himself out of the home. Further inquiry revealed outstanding warrants totaling $1403.00 out of numerous jurisdictions existed for the 55 year old suspect. He was arrested and transported to HQ where he was later turned over into the custody of the New Brunswick Police Department.
On June 7, 2013 Sgt. Sanzari investigated the reported theft of an iphone 4S cell phone from the lunchroom at Indian Hills High School. The matter continues to remain under investigation by the detective bureau.
On June 8, 2013 as the result of an investigation into an erratic driver complaint received from the Franklin Lakes Police Department, Ptl. Catenacci arrested a 30 year old Belleville, NJ man on Ramapo Valley Road for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additional charges included driving an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to keep right. He was released into the custody of a family member at the conclusion of being processed. A June, 2013 court date has been scheduled in the Oakland Municipal Court.
