JULY 10: While on patrol Officer Luis Gaviria was dispatched to a residence on Rock Ledge for a 9-1-1 hangup. Upon his arrival, two intoxicated individuals were located and during the course of the investigation a 24-year-old male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction. The offender was taken into custody, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.
JULY 11: While on patrol, Officer Stephen Broek initiated a motor vehicle stop on Raritan Road that resulted in the arrest of an Oakland resident for an active traffic warrant issued from the Oakland Municipal Court. The 19-year-old male was taken into custody, processed, and later released on bail.
JULY 16: While on patrol Officer Michael Catenacci investigated a traffic accident which resulted in the arrest of a 18-year-old Oakland resident for Driving Under the Influence. The male offender was processed and later released from custody to a family with a court date set to later appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.
JULY 17: While on patrol Officer Bryan Rowin initiated a traffic stop on Dacotah Ave involving a motorist he observed smoking marijuana while driving. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, a 20-year-old male resident of Mahwah, NJ, and his passenger, a 20-year-old-male resident of Franklin Lakes, NJ for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia . Both offenders were taken into custody, processed and later released on their own recognizance. Officer Michael Griffin assisted.
I’d like to hear some numbers on how the supposed crackdown on speeders in town is going. Seems to be a phantom campaign since people are still flying around our streets.
