Oakland resident Lynn Albala was recently elected to serve two years on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Her two year term began on June 1st. Ms. Albala joined the NJ Society of CPA’s in 1981 and now serves as vice-leader for their Accounting and Auditing Resource Group. She is also a group leader of the Nonprofit Interest Group.
Among her other accomplishments, Ms. Abala served as president for the NJ AWSCPA and Northern NJ ASWA. She was also director of the Morris-Essex Chapter of IMA.
As a resident of Oakland, she is active in advising, consulting and training for the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. She is a member of the Gold Award Advisory Committee.
