Nicholas Giordano Receives Citation

Nicholas Giordano, 15 from Oakland and a Sophomore at Bergen Catholic High School was recently awarded a Citation from the County of Frederick, Maryland from the County Commissioners Office.  The award was in recognition of his outstanding community service & fundraising projects through an organization he founded, “Strings from the Heart” which has raised thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NJ and other charities.  Giordano traveled to Maryland with his brother, Mario and friend, Marne Rossetti who volunteer their time for various Strings from the Heart projects and were on hand to raise even more money for MAWNJ.  The Citation was awarded at “Kids Are Heroes Day 2010”, a celebration of  kids from all over the world who serve their communities.
