FLOW Follies, is pleased to present its’ 31st annual original musical comedy variety show and fundraising event, “PARENTING- BUY the BOOK”. This years’ fundraiser presentation, is a fun filled mélange of comedy, song and dance along with 50/50 raffles, an array of basket auctions (featuring a full SAT/ACT Course donated by Princeton Review), Mini Scholarship drawing for RIH senior students and Munchies & Matinee for senior citizens.
“Parenting- Buy the Book”, is about navigating parenthood from birth to high school graduation, highlighting the various styles of parenting (think “Helicopter”, “Free Range” “Overachiever” & “Snow Plow” parent types…oh my!), along with the children’s perspectives, making for hilarious takes on the trials and tribulations faced by families everywhere. Take the funny and add renditions of classic Broadway and Billboard Tops, professionally choreographed dances, special guest performances from Marching band, Colorguard, the adorable FLOW Follies K-8 Children’s choir and you have a highly entertaining show for all ages!
More than 50 RIH High School parents, educators, FLOW Follies Alumni and Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff community members will sing, act, dance, build sets and sew costumes for this one-of-a-kind production. Proceeds from the event will go to fund scholarships for the 2017 graduating seniors of the Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools, including needs based students.
Since inception in 1986, FLOW Follies has raised over $650,000 which has been distributed to hundreds of students, making it the single largest scholarship fundraiser for the two high schools. FLOW Follies is a committee under the parent organizations for Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools (IHHS PTSO/Ramapo APTS) registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations.
Performances: March 2,3,4 at 7:30 p.m. and *March 5 at 2:00 p.m.
