September Programs at the Library


Preschool Story Time for children, ages three and four, will be held on Mondays from 10:30 to 11:00 am and 1:00 to 1:30 pm in the Oakland Public Library’s story gallery starting Monday, September 18th, and ending December 11th. This fall season will feature special sessions focusing on music and movement, as well as the more traditional story and craft time. Registration begins Tuesday, September 5th.

Tots Library Club is an unstructured, early literacy experience for 0 to 24-month-olds and their caregiver. TLC will be held on Thursdays in the Oakland Public Library’s story gallery starting Thursday, September 21st, and ending December 14th. Come for playtime from 10:00 to 10:45 am, and stay for a short 15-minute session of nursery rhymes, fingerplays, and songs! Registration begins Tuesday, September 5th.

Terrific Two’s & Three’s! is a Story Time for two to three-year-olds and their caregiver. The sessions will be held on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:00 am starting Friday, September 29th, and ending December 15th. This fall season will feature special sessions focusing on music and movement, as well as the traditional story and craft time. Registration begins Tuesday, September 5th.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter, Teri Merliss, will present her special blend of imaginative stories, original songs, and audience participation on the following Fridays: September 22nd, October 20th, and November 17th from 10:30 to 11:00 am. Oakland children, ages 2 & up, are invited to attend with a parent or caregiver. The program will be held in the Library’s story gallery. Registration begins Tuesday, September 5th for the first session.
