Dionne Warwick Coming to the Y

Over an illustrious four-decade career, Dionne Warwick has been established as an international musical legend. Her reputation as a hit maker has been firmly etched into public consciousness, thanks to nearly sixty charted hits including “Don’t Make Me Over,” “Alfie,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?,” “Walk On By,” “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” and “That’s What Friends are For.”

Ms. Warwick will be appearing at the Wyckoff Family YMCA on Friday, October 17 at 8:00pm. General admission tickets. Members: $75 (before 8/29; after 9/2 $90), Non-Members, $85 (before 8/29; after 9/2 $100). Call the Y’s Development Office for tickets at 201-891-2081, Monday-Friday from 9-5. The Wyckoff YMCA is located at 691 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff.

Here’s a classic, I Say a Little Prayer, written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David who wrote many of Warwick’s hits. Dionne has used the song as the basis for a children’s book which will be released in September.
