Everyone, as the saying goes, has an opinion. And that’s especially true in Oakland, NJ. people have opinions on any and every thing, and it’s what makes for interesting conversation. You cannot judge a book by it’s cover, and that is the case as one hears the views of someone who appears on the surface to represent an entirely different viewpoint.
The only request The Oakland Journal makes is that residents remember that we are all neighbors. What’s reported in the news may be important, but what’s most important is making sure that civility rules in Oakland and everyone respects the other’s view.
New Jersey has a host of problems that it faces, and Oakland has those and its own, so maintaining a civil dialogue is an important step in creating constructive communication.
