Oakland Fire and Rescue responded to a motor vehicle crash with a reported entrapment on Ramapo Valley Road south bound near the Valley Pub. First Chief on scene (Fire Chief Peter Sondervan) found an SUV on its roof in the woods.
The occupant of the SUV had self extricated and was checking occupants of the car that he struck before going off the road. The driver of the SUV came around a blind corner and traffic was stopped. He tried to avoid the car in front of him and swerved to the right and made contacted with the car. He than hit a boulder on the side of the road that sent the SUV over on to its roof.
All injuries were minor. Ramapo Valley Road was closed for about 2 hours.
