North Jersey – Winter Blast, a three-day “Pre-Game before the Big Game” celebration comes to Buchmuller Park in Secaucus, NJ from Thursday, January 30 through Saturday, February 1.

Presented by Exposure, a service of North Jersey Media Group (North Jersey) in partnership with the Town of Secaucus, the action-packed winter attraction will take place approximately three miles from MetLife Stadium, site of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Winter Blast dates and times are January 30 from 4 to 10 p.m., January 31 from 4 to 11 p.m. and February 1 from 11 a.m. to midnight.

A highlight of Winter Blast will be the Food Truck Mash-Up – 30 award-winning food trucks selling a variety of delicious foods every day of the event.

First Avenue and Wilson Street in Secaucus will be closed to traffic to accommodate the food trucks and the event’s Beer Garden. Hosted by Charlie’s Corner bar, the Beer Garden will feature brews from Brooklyn Brewery, Heineken and Anheuser-Busch.

Music, giveaways and fun will be provided by the top radio stations in the area. NASH radio will host a country-music themed Friday night with special guest Kelly Ford, and New York’s 92.3 NOW street team will have giveaways, prizes and fun on Saturday.

The ice rink will showcase hockey games featuring local hockey teams, sled hockey and Challenger hockey games. During non-game times, open skating will be available to whoever wants to give it a whirl. New Jersey Devils alumni players Bruce Driver, Gary Marshall and Ken Daneyko will appear at a meet and greet session on Friday, January 31 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Winter Blast will also offer fun shopping, games, giveaways, prizes and more at the Vendor Village and throughout Buchmuller Park little league field.

A free shuttle bus will run from Lautenberg Rail Station (Secaucus Junction) and other area locations to and from Buchmuller Park.

Tickets will be available online starting January 2, 2014. Online tickets are $10 per person per day, a family four-pack is $30 and an adult three-day pass is $18. Children under 10 years of age will be admitted for free. At the door, admission is $15 per person per day and a family four-pack is $40. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Secaucus Emergency Relief Fund.

The event will run rain, snow or shine.
