Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. Appoints New Executive Director

rbarilogoOakland, NJ – Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. (RBARI) announced today the appointment of Tricia McAleer as its new Executive Director. McAleer’s strong background in the non-profit sector will be essential as she provides strategic direction for the organization and oversee its fundraising, marketing and outreach efforts. RBARI is a non-profit organization that provides love and shelter for homeless animals, educational programs on how to properly care for pets and obedience training for pet owners. Perhaps most importantly, RBARI makes room for new rescue animals by selectively finding forever homes as opposed to euthanization measures.

rbaramcaleer“I am honored to be serving as RBARI’s Executive Director,” McAleer said. “I have been searching for an organization to match my passion for animal welfare and when I found RBARI I knew it was the right fit for me.”

McAleer brings a lifelong dedication to animal welfare with her to RBARI. The Bergen County native has volunteered at several shelters and adopted, fostered and even placed some lucky dogs and cats in loving homes herself.

President Terry Blake said, “We are very excited to bring Tricia on board. Her professional background and enthusiasm for our mission will be a great asset to RBARI.”

Acting through an extreme passion for life and commitment to care, we are the leading no-kill animal shelter in Northern New Jersey, having served the community for 35 years. We provide neglected animals with refuge and a path to permanent, loving homes while offering pet lovers lasting companionship and the community training, education, and support. Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge Inc. adheres to a “NO-KILL” policy, giving animals an open-ended stay at a warm, safe place until loving homes can be found.
