WBMH Names Partial Care Director


MARINARO APPOINTED HEAD OF PARTIAL CARE AT WEST BERGEN

wbmhdonna-marinaroDonna Marinaro, MSW, has been named Director of West Bergen Mental Healthcare’s Partial Care Program. West Bergen is a non-profit Agency providing counseling and psychiatric services for individuals and families in need. In announcing the new appointment, Michael J. Tozzoli, West Bergen’s Chief Executive Officer said, “All of us at West Bergen are so pleased to have an individual of Ms. Marinaro’s knowledge and experience join our team. She brings to the Agency more than 30 years of expertise.”

Prior to beginning her career with West Bergen, Ms. Marinaro served as Program Director for Emergency Services in Lawrence, Mass. As Program Director, she was responsible for the oversight of 30 Emergency Services Crisis Clinicians as well as providing administrative collaboration with hospitals, the Department of Mental Health and other State Departments. She has also held managerial positions with social service agencies including Community Harvest in Maine, which she co-founded and held the position of President to the Board for six years, and La Bella Cucina di Amici in New Hampshire. A clinician, Ms. Marinaro served as a therapist with a number of individual and family counseling service centers in New Hampshire and Maine.

The Structured Day Treatment Program that Ms. Marinaro will be heading offers a broad range of mental health and support services tailored to the needs of individuals requiring a more intensive level of care. “I am looking forward to working with the professional staff at West Bergen so we may increase attendance and community awareness for the Partial Care Program. The Program consists of a multidisciplinary team, which focuses on wellness and recovery for all individuals through case management and group work to include: Independent Skill Building; Co-Occurring Disorder Support; Pre-Vocational Skill Development; Substance Abuse Therapy and Education; Medication Education and Counseling; Laughter, Music and Art Therapy and so much more”, Ms. Marinaro said.

“I have introduced the “Young Adult Partial Care Track” for young adults ages 18-35.” The YADT is offered on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00, and the program offers an individualized recovery plan to meet the needs of young adults with busy social, work and school schedules. “I am so appreciative to work along with a highly motivated, compassionate and talented clinical team.”

Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Marinaro began her career as an Activities Coordinator at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Ms. Marinaro earned her undergraduate degree in Art Education (K-12) from Montclair State University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England in Maine.
