West Bergen Mental Healthcare, a non-profit counseling center, recently opened a satellite office in Oakland. The new facility – The West Bergen Counseling Group – is located at 3 Post Road in Oakland and provides individual and group therapy for adults and children. More than 15 licensed therapists provide services at the new location from Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Established in 1963, West Bergen provides treatment to more than 2600 individuals, in need, each year. Two other service centers are located at 120 Chestnut Street in Ridgewood and One Cherry Lane in Ramsey. The new Oakland site was a logical choice given the demographics of West Bergen’s clients and the wish to provide proximity and convenience.
The satellite office is located at the intersection of major routes, including 208, 287 and 202. In the fall, West Bergen will be hosting an Open House for members of the community to visit and learn more about the new service center.
