In a surprise outcome, John Biale received enough write in votes (He needed 6 and received 8) to get his name on the November ballot for Oakland Town Council. There is now a full slate of candidates for both Mayor and Council. Biale previously served on the Oakland Council for 2 terms from 2000-2006. He is currently the Director of Development for the Housing Development Corporation of Bergen County. He also serves as the Oakland Democratic Chairman and on the Oakland Democratic County Committee.
