Updated OCTOBER 31st:
Halloween is postponed until Monday by executive Order from Governor Christie.
Massive outages could leave residents without power for 10 days or more.
DPW is clearing downed trees in roads, but downed power lines have stymied these efforts in some situations and delays are to be expected.
Churches are opening up their doors to provide relief to residents without power. On Wednesday, October 31, Ponds Church will open their center from 10am to 7pm. They have air hockey, pool table, a full kitchen and couches to relax, but children must be monitored by their parents. Enter the Fellowship Hall entrance from the shopping center parking lot. On Thursday, November 1st, OLPH will offer similar opportunities from 10am to 7pm. They have a full kitchen, dining hall, and large screen TV to watch some videos. Again,children must be monitored by their parents. Located at: 117 Franklin Ave 201-337-5537

Power outages have been occurring throughout the day, but the center of the storm will prevent crews from responding as fully as they have been during the day.
Numerous trees and power lines have been reported down as of 6pm, and the center of the storm is expected in the next couple of hours.
