Tommy Wind, the youngest magician to ever have his own show on the Las Vegas strip, and the star of an upcoming reality TV Show, will be appearing at Indian Hills High School on Friday, September 30th.
The event, being co-sponsored by the Municipal Alliances of Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff is being billed as a community event with tickets steeply discounted. Tommy Wind’s performances usually average $25 for adults, and the Flow Alliance is selling reserved tickets at 10$ for adults and 8$ for students and senior citizens.
Evelyn Innocenti, chair of the Franklin Lakes MA, stated, “We wanted to make this a truly affordable evening for the community, for parents, kids, senior citizens. Something the whole community can enjoy. The Municipal Alliance is about discouraging substance abuse, and a big part of that involves community support.”
The Municipal Alliances in the FLOW area, like those in many other NJ municipalities, support programs like D.A.R.E, Safety Town, Rachel’s Challenge, and seek to encourage positive choices in the local community.
“People sometimes need a break from the serious issues the Alliance normally addresses,”said Charles McCormick the chair of Oakland’s MA. “We wanted an event where people can just have a great time, and get to know what the municipal alliance is about. But really it’s about having fun, it’s going to be a great show.”
Kathy Scarpelli, chair of the Wyckoff Alliance, is excited of the potential offered by the three towns working together. “We are a very active Alliance in Wyckoff,” she said, “We do a lot of programs through the schools, with the Wyckoff Y, and this is aother great opportunity to expand our reach in the community.”
Tommy Wind, voted Magician of the Year, with shows on the Las Vegas Strip and an upcoming reality TV show, will be at Indian Hills High School on Friday, September 30th.
