The Oakland Newcomers and Neighbors Club held their annual kid-driven food drive to benefit the Mahwah Center For Food Action this month. Children of club members solicited donations from patrons of the Oakland Shop Rite by holding signs, distributing lists of recommended groceries, and accepting cash donations. All in all these young children collected over 75 bags of food and presented MCFA with a $330 Shop Rite gift card.
