On the Job – April 10, 2012


opdonthejobOn April 1, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Ramapo Valley Road for erratic driving, Ptl. Harvey arrested a 40 year old Franklin Lakes resident for driving under the influence of alcohol.  At headquarters, the subject refused to submit samples of his breath for chemical analysis and was charged accordingly.  He was later released into the custody of his wife and given a date to appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.

On April 6, 2012 Ptl. McDermott was dispatched to the Ramapo Exxon gas station on Court House Place to investigate a minor motor vehicle accident.  Ptl. McDermott’s investigation led to the arrest of a 60 year old West Milford resident for driving under the influence.  She was transported to headquarters where she was further evaluated by Oakland PD’s drug recognition expert, Ptl. Tim Keenan.  Ptl. Keenan’s evaluation revealed that the driver was under the influence of a suspected depressant. She was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence prior to her release.  An April 2012 court date has been scheduled in the Oakland Municipal Court.
