carsnowbankOn January 29, 2011 Ptl. Noury was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Spear Street and Ryerson Avenue where it was reported that a vehicle had crashed into a snow bank.  Ptl. Noury was met at the scene by a woman who was standing next to a vehicle that was embedded in the snow.  She reported that her 16 year old brother had taken her car without her permission and crashed it into a snow bank.  The driver of the vehicle was later located by Ptl. Kern walking on Spear Street.  He was transported back to the scene where he was administered field sobriety tests under the suspicion that he was under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.  The 16 year old juvenile was subsequently taken into custody and transported to HQ.  He was charged with DWI, underage DWI, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner. After processing, he was released into the custody of a parent and given a date to appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.

On January 30, 2011 as a result of an inquiry made into an individual discovered sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Knights of Columbus on Court House Place, Ptl. Frank Fiore and Ptl. Tim Keenan arrested a 53 year old Seaford , NY man for the possession of suspected marijuana.  He was transported to HQ, processed and released after posting bail on an unrelated traffic warrant.  A February 2011 court date has been scheduled in the Oakland Municipal Court
