On the Job – January 21, 2015


policecaroldJANUARY 12:  Officer Keith Docwra investigated a walk-in complaint regarding an Oakland resident being the victim of identity theft.  The resident stated that she discovered her identity was compromised when she received letters from credit card companies that stated her applications for new lines of credit in her name were unapproved.  The requests were made without her knowledge or consent. Report filed.

JANUARY 13:  A resident from Riverside Drive reported being a victim of debit card fraud after she noticed two unapproved transactions involving her account.  Officer Luis Gaviria handled the initial investigation.  Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

JANUARY 15:  A resident from Skyline Drive reported being a victim of attempted credit card fraud after he was notified of attempted unapproved transactions involving his account.  Officer Gary Fiore handled the initial investigation.  Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

JANUARY 15:  Officer Bryan Rowin located a 21-year-old male with active criminal warrants issued out of the Wayne and Hawthorne Municipal Courts, who was seated in the Oakland Municipal Court.  The offender was arrested, processed, and later released on bail.
