On January 19, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle crash on Ramapo Valley Road , Ptl. Noury arrested a 36 year old Paterson , NJ woman for driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman’s vehicle had been traveling on Ramapo Valley Road northbound when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was not injured but showed obvious signs of intoxication at the scene. She was arrested and transported to headquarters where she refused to submit samples of her breath for chemical testing. She was issued summons for D.W.I., refusing to submit to the Alcotest and reckless driving. A January 2012 court date has been set in the Oakland Municipal Court.
On January 20, 2012 a Lakeview Terrace resident reported that approximately $661.00 in unauthorized debits was made from her bank account and a fictitious Paypal account was opened in her name. Ptl. Harvey completed the initial investigation and turned the matter over to the detective bureau for further review.
