JANUARY 20: While on patrol Detective Mark Piercy observed three suspicious individuals walking out of a wooded area on River Road with one of the actors carrying a marijuana bong. Upon completion of the investigation, a 20-year-old male Oakland resident was arrested and charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia and later released on his own recognizances.
JANUARY 23: While on patrol Detective Edward McDermott investigated a traffic accident which resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Union City, NJ resident for Driving Under the Influence. The male offender was processed and later released from custody to an acquaintance with a court date set to later appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.
JANUARY 23: While on patrol Officer Michael Griffin initiated a traffic stop on Breakneck Road after observing multiple moving violations and signs of impairment. The stop resulted in the arrest of a 55-year-old Wayne, NJ resident for Driving Under the Influence with additional motor vehicle summonses being issued as well. The female offender was processed and later released from custody with a court date set to later appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.
