policebuildingMAY 8: Officer Michael Catenacci investigated a walk-in complaint regarding an Oakland resident being the victim of identity theft. The resident stated that he discovered his identity was compromised when he learned that someone already attempted to file a tax return in his name without his knowledge or consent. Report filed.

MAY 9: Officer Joseph Noury responded to Portobello’s to investigate a dispute between two patrons. One of the involved parties stated he was assaulted by the other. Report taken and charges pending.

MAY 12: Officer Ryan O’Keefe investigated a Theft complaint made by a resident of Park Dr. The resident alleged that a house guest stole prescription medication that belonged to her. Report taken.

MAY 15: Officer Gary Fiore investigated a walk-in complaint regarding a theft that occurred at Indian Hills high school. The stolen property consisted of a students backpack that contained a school issued laptop. Report taken and forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

MAY 16: While on patrol, Officer Bryan Rowin initiated a motor vehicle stop at the Oakland Burger King which resulted in the arrest of an Oak Ridge, NJ resident who was a Wanted Person out of Morris County. The 44-year-old male was taken into custody, processed, and later turned over into the custody of the Morris County Sheriff’s Department for final disposition. Summonses also issued to the offender for an equipment violation as well as for driving with a suspended license.
