policepatchSEPTEMBER 20: While on patrol, Officer Michael Griffin initiated a motor vehicle stop on Ramapo Valley Road that resulted in the arrest of an Oakland resident for driving with a suspended license during a period of suspension due to multiple DUI convictions. The 55-year-old male was taken into custody, processed, and later released on his own recognizances.

SEPTEMBER 21: Officer Donald Harvey investigated a burglary to a vehicle parked on the property of #410 Ramapo Valley Road. The complainant reported that his cell phone had been removed from inside his vehicle. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

SEPTEMBER 24: While conducting an investigation involving stolen property, Det Edward McDermott arrested a 22-year-old male resident of Paterson on an active traffic warrant issued by the New Jersey State Police. The offender was taken into custody without incident, processed, and later released on his own recognizances.

SEPTEMBER 26: Officer Joseph Noury investigated a complaint of simple assault involving three male patrons at Portobello’s Feasts. Two of the involved parties were found to have sustained minor injuries while the third party fled the scene. The victims were explained their legal options for signing a complaint against their attacker if so desired in the Oakland Municipal Court.
