On the Job – October 29, 2014


OCTOBER 20:  A resident of Roosevelt Blvd reported that unknown actors vandalized his Halloween display.  Report taken by Officer Ryan O’Keefe.

OCTOBER 21:  Officer Keith Docwra investigated a walk-in complaint from a Hiawatha Blvd resident regarding fraudulent use of her debit card.  Over $1100 was spent at two different grocery stores and was discovered when she was checking her online statements.  Matter to be forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

heroinOCTOBER 22:  A resident on Hemlock Street reported that he observed an unknown male open and enter into his neighbor’s shed, and then closing the doors behind him.  Officers Bart Pagerie and Joseph Noury responded and located a 25-year-old resident of the neighborhood lying down inside.  The offender was arrested on scene for committing an act of Burglary, and search incident to arrest yielded the discovery that the individual was also in possession of heroin, a hypodermic needle, and other drug paraphernalia items.  Bail was set at $10,000 and the offender was transported to the Bergen County Jail after he was unable to secure the funds needed for his release.

OCTOBER 23:  While on patrol, Officer Bryan Rowin initiated a motor vehicle stop on Yawpo Avenue that resulted in the arrest of a Franklin Lakes, NJ resident for multiple active traffic warrants issued from the Ho-Ho-Kus and Midland Park Municipal Courts.  The 46-year-old male was taken into custody, processed, and later released on his own recognizances.

OCTOBER 25:  While on patrol, Officer Michael Griffin and Sgt Timothy Keenan initiated a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Lakes Road after observing a motor vehicle violation on Long Hill Road that resulted in the arrest of a Franklin Lakes, NJ resident whom was found to be a wanted person by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.  The 47-year-old male was taken into custody, processed, and later released into the custody of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department for final disposition.

OCTOBER 26:  While on patrol Officer Michael Griffin located a suspicious male party in the industrial area on Edison Avenue.  The 28-year-old resident of Wyckoff, NJ was found to have an active traffic warrant issued out of Lincoln Park, NJ.  The offender was taken into custody, processed, and later released on bail.
