On September 24, 2012 Det. Pagerie and Ptl. Docwra investigated a complaint of unlawful weapons possession and use, simple assault and criminal mischief from a concerned juvenile and her father. Their investigation resulted in the filing of juvenile delinquency complaints against an 11 year old Oakland resident after it was determined that he used an Airsoft pistol to shoot an unsuspecting 36 year old Union City man and the window of a residence on Rutgers Drive. No injuries were reported and the gun was subsequently seized by the officers as evidence. The charges will be heard in the Bergen County Superior Court, Family Division.
On September 24, 2012 Ptl. Bryan Rowin arrested a 25 year old Oakland resident outside of his home on Oswego Avenue on $1700.00 in outstanding warrants emanating out of the Atlantic City Municipal Court. He was transported to headquarters where bail was posted in full. He was released pending a court date.
On September 28, 2012 Ptl. Rowin investigated the complaint of a stolen ATV from the driveway of a residence on West Oakland Avenue . The theft of the 2008 Yamaha “Grizzly” reportedly occurred during the overnight hours and remains under investigation by the detective bureau.
