One Slice of Pizza Goes A Long Way…
Local Restaurants Donate $1500 To Oakland‘s K-8 Schools
Following the Oakland Education Foundation’s first, annual “Eat for the OEF” fundraiser, local restaurants delivered over $1500 to support Oakland’s K-8 schools. On select weekdays during October, Tony’s Brothers, Frank’s Pizza and Café L’Amore agreed to donate 10% of their proceeds to the foundation.

About the OEF
Founded in 1993, the Oakland Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization of concerned parents, educators and members of the community. We operate independently from both the Board of Education and the Oakland School District but collaborate in deciding which projects to fund. Funding for the Foundation comes from local businesses, community organizations and concerned citizens who wish to support the tradition of educational excellence in Oakland.
