Ramapo Valley Baptist Church Installs Associate Pastor
On Sunday, March 27, 2011 the Ramapo Valley Baptist Church of Oakland, NJ installed Russell Stammer as their Associate Pastor at a special Installation Service.
Pastor Russ has been the pastoral intern at the church for the past two years before being called to be their Associate Pastor. In addition to his ministry at the Ramapo Valley Baptist Church, Russ is the New Jersey/Metro New York Regional Director for the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters, Fort Collins, CO. He is also the Chaplain, and a Firefighter, for the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department.
A native of North Haledon, NJ, Russ is currently pursuing a degree in Pastoral Ministry from Nyack College in New York City concentrating in Leadership and Preaching. In addition to his education, he also brings a lengthy corporate experience with over 15 years of service to Toys “R” Us in Wayne, NJ. Russ and his wife Eleanor, have two children; Katie 16 and Jonathan 14.
As Associate Pastor, Russ joins Pastor Herb Dorfman and Minister of Music Christine Lovette in ministry at Ramapo Valley Baptist Church.
The Ramapo Valley Baptist Church is a family church. All of their programs and outreach are designed for families to participate together in worship, fellowship, and mission. Worship is upbeat and exciting, and children are welcomed to share in the worship service. Preaching, teaching and programs are all aimed at making the truths of the Bible relevant in our everyday lives. Their hope is to challenge each person to show the love of Christ at home, work, school, and in the community.
