Team Schwager announced today a town hall style meeting on October 30 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 PM at the Coptic Cristian Church located in the rear of the Faber Brothers Parking lot at the Corner of Ramapo Valley Road and Franklin Ave.
Mayor Schwager said “Unfortunately there will be no local debate this election season. Our opponents only wanted a twenty minute mayoral debate and a one hour debate of the six candidates.
Team Schwager’s counter proposal was a one hour mayoral debate and a one hour council candidates’ debate. Our opponents have walked away from further discussion”
Therefore Mayor Linda Schwager, John Biale and Josh Lurie are inviting the citizens of Oakland to this town hall style meeting so that they can have their questions answered and hear firsthand the positions of Mayor Linda Schwager, John Biale and Josh Lurie on matters of concern.
Flood Commission Chairman Lew Levy will serve as the moderator.
