Girl Scout Junior troop 541 staffed the only water station at the Bronx Zoo’s Run For The Wild event. The girls arrived at the Zoo at 6:00am to check in as volunteers. They spent two hours filling thousands of cups with water, stacked 3 tiers high. Then they spent another 1 1/2 hours mastering the art of passing out the cups to moving people and cleaning up!
The event was a fundraiser for the Wildlife Conservation Society to raise funds and awareness for Siberian Tigers.
As volunteers, the girls were invited to stay the rest of the day enjoying the zoo! A very memorable day for troop 541!
