OPEN SPACE TRUST FUND PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED 2013 FUNDING ALLOCATIONS

Please Take Notice: As required by the State of New Jersey in N.J.S.A. 40:12-15, et seq., the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund Public Advisory Committee, on behalf of the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders, will conduct a public hearing on the proposed allocations of its Open Space Trust Fund for Funding Year 2013 on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., at the Bergen County Administration Building, One
Bergen County Plaza, Freeholders Public Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Hackensack, New Jersey, at which time public comment will be taken.

In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:12-15.3(d), the County of Bergen is proposing the following funding allocations from the Bergen County Open Space, Recreation, Floodplain Protection, Farmland & Historic Preservation Trust Fund for the Trust Fund’s 2013 County Program:

Open Space Acquisition Projects Totaling $1,455,000.00 as follows:
• Borough of Oakland – $1,455,000.00 for Roosevelt Boulevard Open Space Acquisitions

Recreation Development Projects Totaling $832,500.00 as follows:
• Bergen County Department of Parks – $325,000.00 for Tennis Court Renovations
• Bergen County Department of Parks – $325,000.00 for Basketball Court Renovations
• Bergen County Department of Parks – $100,000 for Artesian Fields Landscaping
• Bergen County Department of Parks – $82,500 for Overpeck Park Public Access Floating Dock System

Historic Preservation Projects Totaling $735,760.00 as follows:
• Borough of Bergenfield – $24,000 for Cooper Property Roof Replacement
• Borough of Closter – $175,000 for Hess Lustron House Acquisition
• Concerned Citizens of Allendale – $30,460 for Fell House Roof Replacement
• City of Englewood – $16,000 for Mackay Park Gatehouse Design Documents
• Borough of Fair Lawn – $25,000 for Naugle House Construction Documents
• Ramapough Conservancy – $225,000 for Oakland’s Van Allen House Roof Replacement
• Borough of Wood-Ridge – $240,300 for Library Exterior Restoration & Rehabilitation

In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:12-15.3(d), the County of Bergen is proposing the following list of funding allocations from the Bergen County Open Space, Recreation, Floodplain Protection, Farmland & Historic Preservation Trust Fund for the Trust Fund’s 2013 Municipal Park Improvement & Land Acquisition Program of $1,971,986.00 for municipal park improvement projects.

• Borough of Bogota – $9,000.00 for Olsen Park Wellness Fitness Stations
• Borough Carlstadt – $48,300.00 for 10th Street Little League Lighting
• Borough of Cliffside Park – $64,000.00 for Auxiliary Field Lighting
• Borough of East Rutherford – $55,000.00 for McKenzie Field Shelter & ADA Ramp
• Borough of Elmwood Park – $80,000.00 for English Avenue Park Improvements
• Borough of Englewood Cliffs – $6,500.00 for Playgrounds at Witte Complex & Veteran’s Park
• Borough of Fair Lawn – $20,000.00 for Columbia Heights Passive Park Creation
• Borough of Fairview – $66,875.00 for Veteran’s Memorial Park Improvements
• Borough of Fort Lee – $10,490.00 for Coytesville Park Playground Rubber Surfacing

The anticipated commencement date for these proposed projects or use is on or about May 7, 2014. The anticipated completion date for these proposed projects is by or about November 7, 2015.
