Diana Dolling-Ross and David Ross to be Honored
at West Bergen‘s March 28th Annual Brunch
The 2010 recipients of West Bergen Mental Healthcare’s Distinguished Service Award are Diana Dolling-Ross and David Ross. This symbol of excellence, which is give each year to exceptional community leaders, will be presented to the Rosses at West Bergen’s 33rd Annual Brunch on Sunday, March 28th, 12 noon, at Seasons, in Washington Township.
In announcing the Rosses’ selection, Quentin W. Wiest, President of West Bergen’s Board of Trustees said, “I am so pleased that Diana and David have been selected as the honorees. They are unique individuals who give freely of themselves to benefit others. West Bergen is grateful for their endless drive and generosity of time, talent and spirit. Their dedication is emblematic of the spirit of commitment to West Bergen that has enabled the Agency to serve others for 47 years.”
Diana and David have shown a lifelong commitment to helping others, especially children and families in need. Their partnership with West Bergen began several years ago when Diana became an active and dedicated volunteer for West Bergen. She has been the force behind the monthly Chairman’s Forums and served as Chair of the Auction Committee for the 45th Anniversary Ball. She also organized numerous auctions for the annual Fall Night of Fine Dining and hosted special events for consumers in West Bergen’s Asperger’s program.
Diana serves as Vice President and General Manager of Town & Country Apothecary and Fine Cosmetics in Ridgewood. During her 15 year tenure with Town & Country, she has created an upscale beauty apothecary within the pharmacy. The store has been featured in leading magazines for its “innovative cosmetic and retail presentation”
and was listed in 2006 Beauty Biz as one of the best of 100 independent beauty stores in the country. Through Town & Country, Diana has created – over the past four years -fundraising programs that have raised over $300,000 for local charities, religious institutions and schools.
In addition, Diana is a strong advocate for numerous non-profits in the area, including : The Children’s Therapy Center; Project Ladybug at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson; Oasis; The Valley Hospital Auxiliary; Gilda’s Club and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She has also created self esteem programs for many Girl Scout Troops in Bergen and Passaic Counties and is a member of the Retail Marketing Society and the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce.
David has joined Diana in her commitment to West Bergen. In addition to supporting numerous West Bergen events, he has donated the popular “Tour of Brooklyn” for several Fall Night of Fine Dining events. David serves as Sales Executive for the Tri-state area for Aladdin Bakers, Inc. – the creator of the popular Panini bread. David also participates in many and varied activities in the community including: Oasis; The Little Sisters of the Poor; the Retired Home for Salesian Nuns and the Hawthorne Lions Club. He was also actively involved in a food drive, with a local fire department, for Hurricane Katrina victims.
The Rosses are members of Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Franklin Lakes. They are the proud parents of four children: Nicole, Justin, Meghan and Alexandra.
