Rec Stand to Open

Mayor John Szabo recently gave the Mothers’ and Fathers’ Clubs authority to open the Rec Stand for the upcoming football season. However these groups cannot do it alone.

Many hands make light work, and even if you can help with one shift it will make a difference. The Rec Stand will always have an experienced volunteer on hand, and you need only bring a willingness to help keep Oakland’s recreation program one of the best in NJ.

The recreation programs in Oakland are built on volunteers, from administrators to coaches. Please consider joining their efforts by contributing as little as two hours to helping operate our Rec Stand. Your donation of time helps keep our recreation costs down, builds a stronger community, and exemplifies to our youth that giving back to the community is important.
