Temple Beth Rishon, Cantor, Choir and Instrumentalists Join to
Celebrate at Shabbat Service in Song in Wyckoff

Temple Beth Rishon, 585 Russell Avenue in Wyckoff cordially invites the community to join the congregation, Friday, February 6, 2009 at 8:00 P.M. for a special Shabbat service in song (Shabbat Shira).

Cantor Ilan Mamber, the Kol Rishon Adult Choir, featuring soloist Jo-Ann Skiena-Garey will perform special musical selections. Cantor Barbara Lieberstein will conduct the service. They will be accompanied by Sylvia Rubin on violin, Jimmy Cohen on percussion, Cantor Ilan Mamber and Mark Kantrowitz on guitars, and Michelle Mestman on piano.

The program will contain both classical liturgical choral compositions as well as Israeli and Sephardic folk songs. The repertoire will also include both classic and contemporary songs with acknowledgment to the upcoming holiday of Tu”Bishvat.
