Mr. Robert Van Saders, Athletic Director at Indian Hills High School, has been awarded “Athletic Director of the Year” for Bergen County. With the enormous opportunities offered by the school district, this award is a public acknowledgment by his peers for the exception job he does. Well known to members of the school community, Oakland residents at large might not be aware of the man who pulls it all together for the high school sports programs.
As athletic directors need to focus on the business end of getting things done, they are often the forgotten champions of many school sports programs. The Oakland Journal wishes Robert a hearty congratulations on this honor.
