The Dewey Electronics Corporation in Oakland, announced they have been subcontracted by MTC Technologies. Dewey will serve as a lead integrator to help develop an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). The project will be evaluated by the U.S. Army for potential use in the Next Generation Line Haul Family of Vehicles.
The contract has been approved through the Defense Departments TTI program, Technology Transition Initiative. As an approval process through the governement can take two or three years, this program is intended to speed up specific technology projects and follows its own singular approval process. The motto for the TTI program is “Accelerating delivery of mature technology to the Warfighter”. Readers can visit the TTI homepage to learn about other interesting projects, or learn about the light weight generators being developed by Dewey Electronics.
