Cell Phone Disruption

It’s not the end of the world, but some might think so if they experience a disruption in their cell phone service.

The sun got a bit bit festive over the holiday weekend and let loose some flares on Christmas day that are expected to hit earth tonight and tomorrow. ( December 28th & 29th)

No need to hide under the table, unless you have other reasons to do so, the solar storm descending on earth will be relatively harmless. It might even offer the opportunity to for sky gazers to see some mild northern lights.

The CME, or coronal mass ejection,sent billions of charged particles into space and Northern Lights are being reported as far south as Ohio.

Chances of seeing Northern Lights in New Jersey are still pretty slim, but you never know. Previous solar storms have created light shows as far south as Texas, and past storms have been attributed to extensive blackouts in Canada.

If readers experience any cell phone or mobile device interruptions, hang tight, the world is not coming to an end.

For the many of us who will not see any spectacular light display, the video below offers a glimpse should the adventure bug every carry us to a more northern town.
