Sarah Louise Lilley competes for Finalist Spot in Cutting Edge New Reality Show The Reel Deal!

sarahlouiselilleyActress Sarah Louise Lilley is one of 120 hopefuls vying for 21 finalist spots in the cutting edge new reality show The Reel Deal.  Set to shoot in July in Los Angeles and described as “American Idol for short film,” The Reel Deal will feature teams made up of actors, directors, composers and writers, all competing in high stakes, high stress “Survivor-like challenges” to make the best short film.

Sarah attended Ramapo high school after moving to the US with her family in the 9th grade.

“I’m thrilled,” says Lilley, “there were 27,000 entries and they are down to 120 Semi-finalists.  For the first audition contestants were asked to film a 90sec video introduction explaining why they should be picked for the show.  Now the Semi-finalists will have a timed challenge – 2 hours to memorize and shoot a scene.  On April 24th voting will be opened to the general public and America will help choose the finalists.  View Sarah’s auditions at http://thereeldeal.tv/sarah-louise-lilley/

Once the finalists are chosen, teams will have the benefit of a celebrity mentor – Judy Norton (The Waltons), Eric Roberts, Don ‘The Dragon” Wilson, Tim Russ (StarTrek Voyager) , Holly Fields and Dustin Diamond (Saved By The Bell.) The Reel Deal will distribute online, on demand, on mobile and social media in an innovative interconnected multi-platform format.

Sarah’s passion for film is clear on her resume.  Her latest film Nothing Happened, which she produced and stars in, won Best Short Film at the NJ International Film Festival.  After a premiere at Cinequest, it has screened at over 30 film festivals including: Berkshires, Woodstock, Bend, Edmonton, London and Mumbai.  Sarah’s other acting credits include the female leads in the films Blue Road, The Date and Zooey.
